A fluffy, gorgeous organza wedding gown
I am so delighted to have been hired to make this gown. The bride wanted it to be dreamy and fanciful. She and I as well as her wedding party were all very happy with the finished gown.
Pressing the center crease out of the crinoline netting.
The fabrics used as well as the purchased corset and hoopskirt frame.
Stitching yards of rows of ruffles onto the hoopskirt fabric. All told, there were 100 yards of tulle used in making this gown.
This gives an idea of the almost finished width--my pressing table is 4' x 6'. The bride had me leave the layers long which enhanced the dreamy, floaty effect as she moved.
The second fitting-the skirt is about finished and the corset has the layer of cotton fabric to cover the original red fabric.
The corset covering of peach satin/lycra and the overlay of sparkle illusion tulle.
The actual lacing grommets.
I designed a decorative lacing panel to cover the corset laces.
